Shipping & Delivery Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines the delivery processes, timelines, fees, and responsibilities for orders placed on our platform—via our website, mobile app, or mini-program. Given our multi-service model (Food Delivery, Local Retail, and China Direct), different rules apply to each section. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Overview of Our Services & Shipping Structure
Yanabuy operates three distinct service lines, each with its own delivery framework:
2. General Policies for All Services
- Delivery Area: We currently deliver within Greater Monrovia and its immediate environs. Please check with our customer support for special requests. Exact serviceability is determined by your delivery address at checkout. We are working to expand our zones.
- Order Tracking: You can track your order in real-time through the "My Orders" section of your Yanabuy account.
- Delivery Timeframes: Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are based on vendor preparation time, product availability, traffic conditions, and your location.
- Contact Information: It is the customer's responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address and an active, local phone number. Yanabuy is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries due to incorrect information.
- Failed Deliveries: If our delivery partner cannot complete delivery due to incorrect address, recipient unavailability, or inaccessible location after reasonable attempts, the order may be returned to the vendor/sender. Re-delivery fees may apply, or the order may be cancelled with a refund subject to vendor/China Direct policies.
3. Section-Specific Shipping Details
A. Food Delivery
Free Delivery: We're currently offering free delivery on all food orders above $25 USD, irrespective of delivery zones or order quantity. We want to make sure our customers don't have to worry about paying any extra.
Delivery Fee: A flat rate Standard delivery ($1.9) is automatically applied to orders that don't meet the Free Delivery condition. Customers can also choose the Express Delivery ($3.9) option.
Delivery Time:
- Standard Delivery: 45-90 Minutes from the time the restaurant confirms your order. This is an estimate and can be affected by peak hours, weather, or restaurant preparation delays.
- Express Delivery: 30-45 minutes from confirmation.
Process: Once you place an order, both Yanabuy and the restaurant receive the notification on our respective dashboards. Once payment method is confirmed by our staff, order confirmation is sent to you. The restaurant begins preparation. All this is done in the span of 5 minutes. A Yanabuy rider is dispatched to pick up and deliver your order directly to you.
Contact: The rider will contact you via the phone number provided upon arrival at your location.
B. Local Retail Shipping
Free Shipping: We're currently offering free shipping on all retail orders above $25 USD, irrespective of delivery zones or order quantity. We want to make sure our customers don't have to worry about paying any extra.
Shipping Fee: A flat rate Standard Shipping ($1.5) is automatically applied to orders that don't meet the Free Shipping condition. Customers can also choose the Express Shipping ($3.5) option.
Note for Larger Items: For items with dimensions larger than 100cm × 50cm × 45cm or weight more than 5kg, shipping is calculated based on the parcel volume/weight. The fee is displayed at checkout.
Delivery Time:
- Standard Delivery: 24-72 hours for in-stock items. Some orders may be processed and delivered same-day. Timeframes begin once the local vendor confirms and hands the order to our logistics team.
- Express Delivery: 24 Hours from vendor confirmation.
Process: The local vendor processes your order, packs it, and our logistics partner picks it up for delivery. For larger items, special delivery arrangements may be communicated to you.
C. China Direct
Shipping Fee: Calculated at checkout based on the volumetric weight, actual weight, and category of the item(s). This fee includes international shipping, customs clearance assistance, and last-mile delivery in Liberia.
Delivery Time:
- Standard Shipping: 15-45 business days from the date of order confirmation.
- Express Shipping: 7-15 business days from confirmation.
Delivery time includes processing in China, international transit, sea/air freight, and mandatory customs clearance in Liberia. Delays can occur due to customs inspections, shipping congestion, or unforeseen logistical events.
Process:
- You place an order which is sent to our China partner.
- The item is consolidated and shipped via sea or air freight to Liberia.
- Our local team handles customs clearance on your behalf.
- Once cleared, the item is delivered to your address in Monrovia.
Customs & Duties: Yanabuy's quoted price for China Direct items includes estimated standard customs duties and taxes. In the rare event that Liberian customs authorities levy additional, unforeseen charges on a specific shipment, Yanabuy will notify you promptly. Payment of such exceptional charges is necessary for the release of the goods.
4. Shipping Fees & Payment
All shipping/delivery fees are transparently displayed during the checkout process before you finalize payment. You pay for the product and its associated delivery fee in a single, secure transaction via our platform's approved payment methods.
5. Order Cancellation & Changes
- Food Delivery: Cancellations must be made immediately after ordering by contacting customer support. Once the restaurant has confirmed or begun preparation, cancellation may not be possible, and a refund is at the restaurant's discretion.
- Local Retail: You may request cancellation before the vendor processes or dispatches your item. Contact support immediately.
- China Direct: You may cancel within 12 hours of placing your order for a full refund. After this window, the order enters the procurement and shipping pipeline and cannot be cancelled, as items are sourced and shipped specifically for you.
6. Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items
Upon Delivery
Please inspect your order (Food & Local Retail) at the point of delivery. For obvious damage or wrong items, you may refuse acceptance and contact our support team immediately.
After Delivery
Report any issues with Food or Local Retail orders within 2 hours of delivery via the app/website. For China Direct items, report missing or damaged goods (based on the packing slip) within 48 hours of delivery. Provide photos/videos as evidence.
We will mediate with the vendor or logistics partner to find a resolution, which may include replacement, partial refund, or credit.
7. Limitation of Liability
Yanabuy acts as an intermediary platform connecting you with vendors and logistics partners. While we strive for a seamless experience, we are not liable for delays wholly caused by third-party vendors, severe weather conditions, national emergencies, port congestion, customs delays (for China Direct), or other force majeure events beyond our direct control. Our liability is limited to the value of the delivery fee paid for the affected order.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Shipping Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on our platform with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Yanabuy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
